Religious Education

At Brookfield we follow the London Borugh of Sutton's Agreed Syllabus for RE.  During RE lessons the children will learn about the six principle religions represented in the United Kingdom (Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Sikhism, Hinduism, Budhism).  Children develop positive attitudes of respect towards others who hold views and beliefs different from their own.  They explore the influence of beliefs, values and traditions on individuals, communities, societies and cultures.

Visits to local places of worship enhance children's understanding of our multicultural society and allow them to ask questions and develop their own individual viewpoints, whilst considering the importance of faith in the lives of others.
