School Council

Every year each class votes for two school council reps - one girl and one boy. The school council reps collect ideas and suggestions from their classmates about how to improve our school and every few weeks we meet to discuss them.

This year, classes asked for more playground equipment so the reps were in charge of finding out what the children wanted, how much it would cost and made decisions about what to order. We also decide how to raise money for charity events that are important to us, such as ‘Children in Need’, ‘Comic Relief’. The School Council have also been tasked with naming a new reading initiative in school - 'The Power of the Pages'.
